We’re Shannon and Tam.
After more than two decades of running bars across Byron Bay, Perth, New Zealand and Chapel Street, you learn that no matter what the latest trend is, your ability to give good customer service and provide consistent quality drinks to your guests never goes out of style. Understanding this has helped influence many of the decisions we have made behind the bar including the decision to open our own bar, now 15 years and 5 bars later it has also helped guide the decisions to take our next step.

Since we poured the the first Espresso martini on Tap over a decade ago all our drinks truly have been tried, tested and perfected buy many of the thousands of guest we welcomed in to our busy little chapel st bars.
We are excited to share the same pride and passion in our pursuit to geting one of our delicious drinks into your hands weather its behind the bar, at a picnic or at home because we truly believe that the best drinks are the ones enjoyed with friends, not the ones you have to wait for.
Before COVID we used to say that when you would step foot into one of our bars that it should feel like an extension of your living room however you didn't need to clean your own glasses and you could get some of melbourne best drinks delivered right to your seat.
So when the lockdowns started and we could no longer welcome you into our bars, we knew what we had to do. We started bottling the same quality cocktails you had learned to love from our bars, we set our delivery route and brought the cocktails to you so that you could once more enjoy them now from the comfort of your own living room at home.
In December 2025, Shannon and Tam opened their Murrumbeena bar, bringing the brand back to its roots and creating a place for the local community to gather. The bar serves a select range of house cocktails, rotating specials, beer, and takeaway drinks, while remaining closely connected to the neighbourhood they’re part of. At the same time, Small Batch continues to operate Australia wide through wholesale, events, and online orders, balancing a strong local presence with a national reach.
